BURT-The marriage of Miss
Shirley Eleanor Barnes, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Barnes, of the
Filler road, to Robert Vem Fox. son
of Mrs. Walter Fox. Fairmount City.
Pa . was solemnized on Saturday
at 2 o'clock a: the bride's home. The
Rev. William H Dallman. pastor of
the St. John's Lutheran church,
officiated.
The marriage vows were exchanced
before the bay window of
the living room against .a backeround
of white lilies, blue delphinium,
pink roses and ferns, white
pink and while streamers formed a
part of the decorations. Miss Jean
Treirhler played Loengrin's "Wedding
March " Miss Helen Treichler.
accompanied by her sister, sang "O
Promise Me "
Tne bride, who was given in marriage
by the father, was gowned ln
long heavenly blue chiffon crepe,
with blur velvet head dress caught
with rosebuds and hung in lone
streamers around the waist She
carried a shower bouquet of sweetheart
heart roses, sweetpeas and sypso-
philia.
Miss Janis Barnes, of Niagara
Falls, sister of the bride, was her
only attendant and she wore pink
net over pink satin caught with
pink and blueu forget-me-nots and
her flowers were pink sweetpeas and
pink roses with gypsophilia.
John Barnes, brother of the bride,
was the best man.
The bride's mother wore a gown
of dussty rose and her corsage was
of sweetpeas.
Following the ceremony a recep-
tion was served to the immediate
families and a few intimate friends.
The bride's table, set for ten, was
centered with a three-tiered wed-
ding cake topped with a miniature
bride and groom and with long
white tapers in silver holders at
either end.
Mr. and mrs. Fox left for a weeks
visit with the former's mother, Mr.
Walter Fox of Fairmount City, Pa.
As a going-away costume, the bride
wore a dusty rose suit with white
accessories. Upon their return they
will reside in the New Barnes flat
in the Fuller road.
among those giving pre-nuptial
parties were Mrs. Elmer Stratton
and Mrs. Howard Treichler, the
Friendly club members, Mrs. Edward
Barnes and Mrs. Carl Rosseau, Mrs.
Otto Greene, and Miss Janis Barnes
and Mrs. W. Reed.
