A simple but charming home
wedding was solemnised Sunday
afternoon at 6 o'clock at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Veron Bataman.
Quaker Road, when their daughter.
Msuilyn Mae. became the bride of
Pvt, Marls Osborne Andrews, son
of Mk. and Mrs. Merle O. Andrews
of Albion.
The double-ring ceremony being
performed by the Rev. Marcum B.
May, pastor of Somerset Union
Methodist Church, before an altar
erected in a bow window, banked
with ferns and baskets of mixed
garden flowers. In the archway
above the window was suspended *
large white wedding bell from which
white crepe paper streamers reached
out to the windows. Before the
altar was spread a white rug upon
which the wedding party stood.
Mrs. Barry Pask, of Somerset.
aunt of the bride, played the
wedding music.
BRIDE WEARS PIQUE
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, was lovely In a streetlength
dress of white eyelet embroidered
pique, made with a square
yoke and short sleeves. She wore s
corsage of Pink roses.
Miss Arlene Bateman, sister of
the bride, was maid of honor and
wore a two-piece dress of dusty
rose, with yoke and vest effect of
white pique. Her corsage was ot
talisman roses.
William Preston, of Albion, brother-
in-law of the bridegroom, acted
as best man.
The bride's mother wore a black
dress with white trim, while the
bridegroom's mother was dressed in
a powder blue flowered print. Both
wore corsages of yellow roses.
An Informal reception to about 40
guests was held at the home Immediately
after the ceremony, and
later a dinner was served to the
bridal party and immediate families
at Tree Lawn Towers, Middleport.
The bride's table was centered
with a tiered, decorated wedding
cake, topped by a miniature bride
and groom. The cake was flanked
by three-branched crystal candelabra
with white candles.
LEAVE FOR MOTOR TRIP
Later the couple left by motor
for an undisclosed destination, the
bride wearing her wedding dress
with white hat and accessories.
At the end of his furlough, the
groom will report to the Embarkation
Center at Camp Kilmer, N.J.,
and the bride will make her home
with her parents for the present.
Out-of-town guests were from
Rochester, Albion, Medina. Kenmore
and Ransomvllle.
The bridegroom was formerly
member of the Merchant Marines
before enlisting recently In the Tank
Division, Regular Army.
