Marriage vows will be exchanged
by Miss Peggy Ann
Holt and Thomas W. Beahen
at 3 o'clock this afternoon (Sept.
10, 1955) in a double-ring ceremony
before the Rev. H. Victor
Kane at the First Baptist Church.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. James' J. Holt,
Spruce Ave., and the bridegroom
is the son of Montie
Beahen, Third St., and the late
Mrs. Beahen.
Altar vases and beauty baskets
of white gladioli and pom-
. pons will decorate the church.
William Scott will be soloist and
J. Earl McCormick will be organist.
To be given in marriage by
her father, the bride will be attended
by Miss Ann Hayes,
maid of honor, and Miss Noreen
Mosolf and Miss Irene Beahen
as bridesmaids.
Philip G. Beahen will be best
man for his brother. Guests will
be seated by Arthur May and
James J. Holt Jr.
Nylon tulle and ChantiHy lace
forms the floor-length gown to
be worn by the bride who will
carry a colonial bouquet of white
carnations. The gown has an
illusion neckline trimmed with
iridescent sequins and a bouffant
skirt. Her fingertip-length
veil will be caught to a fitted cap
of iridescent sequins.
The bridal attendants will be
attired in aqua gowns of nylon
tulle with double-tiered skirts,
long torsos and ChantiHy lace
jackets. They will wear matching
picture hats and carry colonial
bouquets of golden rapture roses
with floorlength yellow ribbon
streamers.
The mother of the bride will
be attired in a lace rose colored
dress with navy blue and rose
accessories and an orchid corsage.
Mrs. John Hotchkiss, sister
of the bridegroom, will favor a
black coat dress trimmed with
black velvet and matching accessories.
She will wear an orchid
corsage.
The couple' will travel to
Washington, D. C, and upon returning
will be at home at 606
Spruce Ave. For traveling, the
bride has chosen a paradiso
purple wool suit with dark
brown accessories and a white
orchid corsage.
