Mr. and Mrs. Louis Philip St.
Cyr, former residents of Dansville,
have announced the marriage
of their daughter, Mary
Barrett St. Cyr, of Hudson,
N. Y., to Charles Fremont Beck
of Yonkers, N. Y., and Baltimore,
Md. The ceremony took
place in St. Mary's Church,
Hudson, and the Very Rev. John
J, McCarthy, pastor, performed
the double ring ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage
by her father. Her attendants
were Miss Ann Holder
of Montclair, N. J., maid of
honor; Mrs. Charles Young Jr.,
of Syracuse, a sister of the
bride, Miss Alyce Fraleigh of
Hudson, Mist Aloyce Hutchinson
of Cleveland, O., and Miss Grace
Schmidt of Richmond Hill.
Tha hrtdtfi gown WM white
satin bodies with net skirt and
long train, appliqued with satin
motifs. She wore a long veil of
illusion and a tiara of seed
pearls. Her shower bouquet was
whits roses, orchids and baby's
breath.
The maid of honor wore powder
blue gown with lace top and
long net skirt over white and
carried an arm bouquet of white
gladioli. She worn a blue net
cap. The maids all wore blue
gowns mads like the maid of
honor's over blue with blue net
caps and carried peach gladioli
arm bouquets.
Leslie E. Beck, coach of Yonkers
High School and father of
the bridegroom, was his son's
bast man. Tha ushers ware A.
O. Steinbrenner of Lowville, N.
Y., uncle of the bridegroom,
Hubert L St Cyr, brother of the
bride, of Wingdale and Annadale
Beach, Staten Island,
Henry Dunta of Claverick. N. Y.,
and Francis Keeler of Craigslde,
Hudson. Master Louis St. Cyr
of Wlngdals, nephew of the
bride, was ring bearer.
Miss Jean Varley of Hudson
played the Incidental music and
wedding marches. Miss Mary
Conkiln of Catsklil, N. Y., a pupil
of the bride at Drew Seminary,
Carmel, N. Y., last year,
sang, "On This Day O Beautiful
Mother," "O Lord I Am Not
Worthy" and "Ave Maria."
The bride's gifts to her attendants
were monogrammed
wallets and the bridegrooms a
gold watch bracelet. The bridegroom's
gifts to his best man
and ushers were gold tie clips.
Miss Mary Conkiln received
bracelets and the ring bearer
an identification bracelet. The
bridegroom's gift to his bride
was a gold miraculous medal.
Following the Ceremony a reception
for 100 guests was held
at the Worth Hotel, Hudson.
The bride's going away outfit
was a powder blue suit with
white ostrich plume hat and
white accessories.
After a wedding trip to Cape
God Village on Lake George the
couple will make their home in
Baltimore where Mr. Beck is a
student in the Baltimore Collage
of Dental Surgery and the
bride will teach speech and
dramatics in Mt. St. Agnes Junior
College, Mt Washington,
Baltimore.
The bride is a native of Dansville.
Her father was a former
chief draftsman at the Foster
Wheeler Corporation and her
mother, the former Nellie M.
Brogan, was at one time preceptress
of the Dansville Junior
High School. The bridegroom
was born in Hornell and his
father was physical instructor
at the Hornell High School at
that time.
Edward E. Brogan, Esq., uncle
of the bride, Miss Grace M. Brogan,
aunt of the bride, Mrs. William
F. Kelly and Eloise Kelly,
all of Dansville, were guests at
the wedding. Other guests were
in attendance from Utica, Carmel,
Lowville, Lake Placid, Syracuse,
Claverack, Pittsfleld,
New York City, Wingdale, Annadale
Beach, Richmond Hill,
Catsklil and Yonkers, N. Y.
