Miss Sybil Elizabeth Dodd, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur H. Dodd of
Nunda, became the wife of Everett E.
Strain Jr., son of, Mrs. Lucille Strain of ,
Portageville on Saturday, Nov. 9 in the
Nunda Methodist Church. The Rev.
Glenn T. Moore, assisted by the Rev.
Andrew Podlesney of the Baptist Church,
Portageville performed the ceremony.
The bride wore chantilly lace and net
over taffeta with a fingertip veil and
carried a white orchid and stephanotis.
Miss Celia Dodd, sister of the bride,
was maid of honor. She was attired in
purple and carried a cascade of yellow
chrysanthemums and ivy.
Bridesmaids, wore gowns of identiical
fashion to the honor attendant and carried
white flowers were Mrs. Kenneth
Gordon in coral, Miss Joan Harmon in
blue, Miss Nancy Gibson in green and
Miss Patricia Aylor in rose.
Julie Rich was the flower girl. Douglas
Rich was ring bearer.
Donald Strain was the best man for
his brother. Ushers were James and
Edward Dodd, brothers of the bride,
Ronald Mehlenbacher and Bernard Hebe
rt.
The bridegroom was graduated from'
the State Agricultural and Technical In
stitute at Alfred.
