BERNER-LA JOIE-Mr, and
Mrs. Joseph La Joie at Aiken
Rd,, Lockport announce the engagement
and forthcoming marriage
of their daughter, Josephine,
to Richard Berser, sea
of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Berner.
109 Church St The wedding will
take place Oct. 1 at Ascension
Catholic Church, North Tonawanda,
at 9 in the morning.

Joie became the bride of Rich
axd Clinton Berner Oct. 3 in .Ascension
Church. North Tonawanda.
The Rev. Francis Hunt offi-
ciated.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph LaJoie of
the Aiken Rd., and the groom is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin
Berner of 108 Church St., all of
Lockport.
The bride's Chantilly lace gown
over summer satin was fashioned
with a fitted strapless bodice and
matching lace Jacket. The full
skirt featured a redingote opening
over a knife-pleated panel of
tulle. Her fingertip veil of illusion
was caught to a tiara of rhinestones.
She carried a bouquet of
white roses and lillies of the valley
Maw Veronica Volkots was
maid ot honor. Bridesmaids were
Miss Joan Koller and Mrs. Peter
Austin, sister of the groom. They
wore identicaI gowns of net over
taffeta with fitted bodices and full
ruffled skirts with cumrnerbunds.
The maid of honor was in blue
and the bridesmaids were in pink
and yellow respectively.
Valerie Austin was flower girl.
She wore a floor-length blue net
dress over satin with flowers edging
the hemline.
Wayne McNall was beat man.
Ushere were Walter LaJoie.
brother of the bride, and Roger
Berner, the groom's brother.
Roger Berner Jr. was ring bearer.
Dinner was served at Klein's
Restaurant, Beach Ridge Rd. An
attractive bouquet of autumn
flowers centered each table. The
reception was held at the Eagles
Hall in Lockport.
Guests were present from The
Tonawandas, Barker and Lockport.
The bride was honored at showers
given by Mrs. Peter Austin.
Mrs. George Meiler, Mrs. Roger
Berner and Mrs. Veronica Grun-
dy.
