Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Bills
of 20 W. Elizabeth St., Skaneateles,
announce the engagement
of their daughter, Cora
Sue, to Frederic A. Wheatley,
son of Mr. and Mrs. William
Wheatley of Amherst, Ohio.
The bride-to-be is a graduate
of Skaneateles Central
School. She is a sophomore at
Kent State U., majoring in elementary
education.
Mr. Wheatley was graduated
from Marion L, Steele High
School, Amherst. He attended
Kenyon College and Kent State
University until last December,
and is now serving in the
United States Navy.
No wedding date has been
set.

and Frederic Allen
son of Mis. William Wheatley
of Amherst, Otrio, and the late
Mr. Wheatley, were married
Saturday, July 5 in St. Mary's
of the Lake Church, Sfcaneateles,
with the Rev. Robert Casey officiating.
Given in marriage by her
fattier, the bride wore an Aline
gown of peau.de soie with panels
of peau d'lange lace. Her
mantilla and train were of
French illusion and bordered
with matching lace. Her corsage
wate an orchid with sweetheart
roses and stephanbtis.
Mrs. Kathleen Bills, sister-
in-law of the bride, was matron
of honor. Bridesmaids were
Miss Kathleen Rosser, of North
Olmstead, O., Miss Donna Maggio
of Passaic, N. J. and Miss
Connie Coye of Sfcaneateles.
William Wheatley of Amherst,
O., brother of the groom, was
best man. David Nemeth of
Lorain, O., Jeffrey White of
Arlington, Va., Robert Thomas
of Cleveland, O., and Frederick,
also of Cleveland, ushered.
The bride WAS graduated
from S k a n e a t e l e s Central
School, and Kent State University,
Kent, O. The groom was
graduated from Marion Steele
High School, Amherst, O., and
also attended Kent State.
A reception was held in the
Springside Inn, Auburn. After
a few days in Washington, D.C.,
the young couple will leave for
Virginia Beach, Va. where they
will make their home. The
groom is with the United States
Navy.
