A pretty wedding was solemnized
yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. James La-
Rose of 142 Grove street, when their
daughter, Mae Nellie, was united in
marriage to Mr. Emil Pedt of Tonawanda.
The Rev. Frank A. Higgins,
pastor of the First Church of Christ,
performed the ceremony, in the presence
of seventy-five guests. Miss
Pearl Tiebor played the Lohengrin
wedding music. The house was decorated
throughout in a color-scheme
of pink and yellow, the ceremony taking
place under an arch of pink carnations
and daffodils. The bride, who
was given in marriage by her father,
was gowned in white meteor crepe
with trimmings of Georgette crepe and
pearls. Her veil was arranged in capeffect
with lillies-of-the-valley and she
carried a shower bouquet of Bride
roses. Miss Ruth La Rose, cousin of
the bride, was maid-of-honor, and wore
yellow pussy willow taffeta and carried
Sunset roses. Miss Ruby Tiebor
was the bridesmaid and was gowned
in pale blue silk marquisette, a gold
lace cap and carried Killarney roses.
Mr. Otto Pedt, brother of the bride
groom, was the best man and Mr. Leo
Pedt, another brother was the groomsman.
Following the ceremony, the
wedding supper was served, covers
being laid .for twelve at the bride's
table whtahv-Was centered with a can
delabra vase of pink sweet peas
Among the guests present were Miss
M. Fitzgerald and Mr. P. N. Zarow of
Buffalo. Mr. and Mrs. Pedt left for a
wedding journey to Detroit, Mich, and
upon their return will reside in Tonawanda.
