Bouquets of pink gladioli and ferns decorated the altar of
St. Peter's Evangelical Church for the wedding of Miss Shirley
M. Lederhaus of Gasport to Joseph L Brewer of Lockport solemnized
at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. The pastor, the Rev.
Herbert S. Seigner performed the ceremony.
The bride, the daughter of Elmer
H. Lederhaus of Gasport and Mrs.
Herbert J. Millheiser of Buffalo,
was given in marriage by her father.
Her white taffeta gown featured
an Illusion neckline brocaded
with beads, long sleeves pointed at
the wrists, and a full skirt. Her
finger-tip veil of scalloped illusion
was caught to a tiara of beadwork
matching the trimming on the
«own. She carried a bouquet of
white roses and camellias.
POWDER BLUE TAFFETA
A powder blue taffeta gown with
matching tiara and mitts was worn
by the matron of honor, Mrs. Vincent
E. Bennett of Middleport,
cousin of the bride. Her Bouquet
was mude of pink roses.
The groom, the son of William
Brewer of Lockport, was attended
by Kenneth Anderson of Lockport
as best man. His brother. Clinton
E. Brewer, and Elmer H. Lederhaus
Jr., brother of the bride, were
ushers.
"O Promise Me" and "I Love
You Truly" were sung In the church
by Mrs. Ina Penfold with Mrs.
Gladys Stahler as organist. Seen
in the bridal party both mothers
wore green ensembles complemented
by corsages of pink roses.
Pink gladioli decorated the bride's
home In Gasport for a recepUon
to 150 guests. Miss Irene Wells of
Buffalo, Miss Esther Lederhouse
and Miss Florence Bischer of Lockport
assisted. Out-of-town friends
were present from Buffalo, Middle-
port and Medina.
EASTERN JOURNEY
Before leaving on an E a s t e rn
trip, the bride changed to a grey
crepe dress and dark brown accessories.
Upon return from their
wedding journey, Mr. and Mrs
Brewer will live at 14 Harrison
Ave. in Lockport.
Both graduates of Lockport Senior
High School, the bride attended
Bryant and Stratton Business School
In Buffalo. The bridegroom served
four years In the Marine Corps
with active service in the Pacific.
