SHAWNEE-Mrs. Catherine
Briggs, 5350 Shawnee^ Road,
has announced the engagement
of her daughter, Miss
Shirley lona Briggs, to William
Arthur Engert, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Engert
Hess Road, Appleton. Miss
Briggs is also the daughter of
the late Edwin Briggs.
She is a graduate of Starpoint
Central School and is
employed by the Bible Club
Movement, St. Thomas, Ont.
Mr. Engert is a graduate of
Royalton-Hartland C e n t r al
School. He is employed by
Harrison Radiator Division,
General Motors Corp., Lockport.
Miss Briggs, a former resident
of North Tonawanda, is
the granddaughter .of Mr. and
Mrs. John S. Ross, 41 Washington
St., North Tonawanda.
The wedding will take place
June 10.
