YOUNGSTOWN - St.' John's Lutheran
Church was the setting Saturday (Aug. 20,
1966) at 3 p.m, for the double ring ceremony
uniting Miss Gail Elizabeth Nichols and Bruce
Sproul.
Rev. Lawrence'Herfurth, Niagara Falls,
officiated for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Philip A. Nichols, 225 South Ninth St, Lewiston,
and the son of Mrs. M. James Sproul,'
Seminole, Fla., arid the late Mr; Sproul.
GiVen in marriage by her father, the bride
wore a gown of silk organza over candlelight
ivory taffeta wiht a bateau neckline, elbow
length sleeves, and controlled sheath skirt
with a bouffant back terminating in a chapel
train. A band of silk organza petals, trimmed
with crystals, seed pearls and matching lace
secured her two-tiered silk illusion veil. She
carried a cascade of white tea roses, stephanotis
and variegated ivy.
MRS. JOHN R. SOMERS, matron of honor,
and sister of the bride, wore a blue gown of
Shandu linen with a modified empire waist
and kubuki Venise. lace sleeves. A matching
Dior bow and circular face veil was her
headpiece. She carried a cascade of tea
roses, blue and white daisy pompons and ivy.
BRIDESMAIDS Mrs. Robert Berds, Ni-
agara Falls, Miss Dawn Nichols, niece of the
bride, and Miss Donna Nelson, West Hartford,
Conn., were similarly attired.
Ringbearer was Scott Belham, Biloxi,
Miss.
Best man was Mark Norton, West Nyack,
and the ushers were Floyd Nichols, brother of
the bride, John Belham, Biloxi, Miss., and
Michael Grady, Jacksonville, Fla.
FOR THE EVENING, buffet at the Alps
Restaurant, the mother of the bride wore a
powder rose sheath with ribbon lace bodice
and the mother of the bridegroom wore a
champagne lace sheath with matching accessories.
After a motor.trip to Quebec and the New
England states, the couple will reside, in Milton,
Mass.
