At the wedding of Miss Ruth;
M. Schleef and Keith E. Freeman,
the Rev. Frederick Schleef, grand-
father of the bride, performed the;
marriage ceremony, before an altar
decorated with baskets of white
pompons. The bride is the daugh-
ter of Fred S Schleef, and the
late Irene Schleef of Wolcottsville,
and the groom the son of Mrs
Bessie Freeman, of Middleport
The wedding took place at St
Michael's Lutheran Church in Wol
cottsville. Saturday, Nov. 3, at
o'clock.
The bride was dressed in a gown
of slipper satin with an illusion
neckline, edged with a bertha effect
of lace. Her skirt fell in a
long Chapel train, and her bonnet
of m a t c h i n g lace and satin,
trimmed with orange blossoms
caught a fingertip veil of illusion.
She carried a cascade bouquet of
white carnations,, sstephanotis, cen-
tered with two orchids.
THREE ATTENDANTS
The bride's sister, Mrs. Calvin
Witkop, was matron of honor, and
wore a strapless emerald green
satin gown with matching cape
and helmet cap trimmed with a
white ostrich tip. Her cascade
bouqut was made of yellow pom-
pons.
The bridesmaids, Miss Elma
Maraio, of Medina and Miss
Marie Newman of Middleport, wore
identical dresses as that of the
matron of honor, and carried
bouquets of bronze pompons.
The flower girl was Janet Sch-
leef, and the ring bearer was
Jerry Schleef, both cousins of the
bride.
Neal Freeman, brother of the
groom, was best man, and the
ushers were Francis Whittaker,
Middleport and Calvin Witkop of
Wolcottsville.
Mrs. Freeman wore a dress of
navy blue crepe with matching
accessories and a corsage of white
carnations for her son's wedding.
RECEPTION FOLLOWS
A reception was held at the
Parish Hall for 100 guests, where
the bridal table was centered with
a four-tiered wedding cake topped
with miniature bride and groom.
Miss Jean Newman presided at
the punch bowl
The couple left for a motor trip
to Southern New York State and
Pennsylvania. The ride chose a
gray suit with black accessories
and an orchid corsage for her
traveling costume. They will make
their home after Dec. 1st at North
Mainn Street in MIddleport.
The bride attended Akron High
School, and the groom, Middle-
port High School. The groom is
a veteran of World War II,, where
he served three years in the U.S.
Army.
