Mrs. Matilda Fraas Blackley and John E. Emery, both
of Lockport, were quietly married at St. John's Church,
Lockport, on Saturday morning (June 2, 1956), with the
Rev. John Clancy officiating.
The bride, given in marriage
by her son, Charles Blackley,
wore a beige lace dress over satin
with a matching hat and carried
a prayer book covered with white
lace, with an orchid on top
Mrs. Samuel Crafts, Lockport,
the matron of honor, and daughter
of the bride, and her sister,
Mrs. Edmund Folich, Buffalo,
the bridesmaid, wore identical
dresses of white crystallctte net
with white hats, Mrs. Crafts
being figured in blue and Mrs.
Folich's in aqua. Mrs. Crafts carried
a colonial bouquet of blue
carnations and pink roses while
Mrs. Folich carried white carnations
with yellow roses.
Edmund Folich was the groom's
attendant.
Following the ceremony, a wedding
breakfast was served to the
bridal party at the Park Hotel.
A reception for 300 guests was
held at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Crafts.
For het wedding trip to Washington,
D.C., the bride wore a
beige dress with white accessories
and an orchid corsage. Upon their
return, Mr. and Mrs. Emery will
take up their residence at 15
Grant Street, Lockport.
