The marriage of Miss Mildred
E. Wulf. daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Frederick Wulf of William
street to Alvin Hartman of
Pendleton was solemnized on
Wednesday evening at seven
o'clock at the Immanuel Lutheran
church,. Rev. F. O. Scholz officiating.
The church was decorated
with a profusion of baskets of
garden flowers and palms. Preceding
the ceremony Mr. F. J.
Mahl sang. Oh Promise Me,"
To the- strains of the wedaing
march from Lohengrin played by
Mrs. J. Roth, the bridal party
entered the church. The bride
was charming in a gown of white
bridal satin trimmed with lace,
and fashioned along the new lines.
Her veil arranged in cap fashion,
was trimmed with orange blossoms.
She wore satin slippers and
lace mitts and carried a shower
bouquet of white roses and lillies.
Miss Ruth Hartman acted as
maid of honor, her gown being
of yellow crepe with ostrich trim
ming, with which she wore satin
slippers and lace mitts to match,
and carried an arm bouquet of
pink roses and gypsophila. Miss
Virginia Wulf was bridesmaid,
wearing a pink gown fashioned
similarly to that worn by the
maid of honor, and carrying a
bouquet of talisman roses and
gypsophila. She wore slippers and
lace mitts.
The groom was attended by
Fred Ens winger of Pendleton as
best man. and John Wulf. The
ushers were Harold Wulf and
Norman Bush.
Little Ruth Berndt was flower
girl, dressed in an orchid chiffon
frock, and carrying a basket
of roses .strewing petals before
the bride. Master Richard Praktr
Wulf, nephew of the bride acted
as ring bearer, carrying a white
satin pillow.
A reception for ninety guests
followed the ceremony, in the
parish hall. Covers were laid for
ten at the bride's table, which
was centered with a wedding
cake and further adorned wilh
tall white tapers.
Mr. and Mrs. Hartman left on
a motor trip to Washington, stopping
in New York. They will be
at home after September 15 in
Pendleton. The bride's going away
costume was of brown travel print
with accessories to match.
