Widely Known Woman Was Member
, of Pioneer Niagara Family
The funeral of Miss Rose M.
Esslie, daughter of the late Adam
and Caroline Esslie, pioneer residents
of Niagara Falls, who died
Saturday following a prolonged illness,
took place this afternoon from
the home of her sister, Mrs. William
R. Lewis, 5622 Buffalo avenue.
Miss Esslie was educated at the
old Nardin academy here. She
had been a lifelong resident of this
city. She is survived by her sister,
Mrs. Lewis, and three brothers,
George F. and Arthur L. Esslie, of
this city, and Dr. Warren E. Esslie,
of Cleveland, Ohio.

Monday. Nov. Wth at J:30. Rev.
J. K. Boroeman officiating. Interment
was In the family plot in Oakwood cemetery.
Her nephews acted as pallbearers.
They were Esslie B. Kraft, G. Frederick
Zeller, Jr.. and Nelson Schwob
of Buffalo: John L. Lewis, of Albany,
and Frederick B. Downing,
Jr., of this city. Burial was made
in the family plot in Oakwood
cemetery. The Rev. John K. Borneman,
of the Bacon Memorial
Presbyterian church, officlatd.
