- Lena (Quigliano) Morningstar, 93 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on March 7, 2017 at Niagara Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Annette (Runfalo) Quigliano.
Lena was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended local schools. For several years, she worked as an office clerk at St. Mark’s Parish in Buffalo, and was a longtime volunteer at Our Lady of Fatima Shrine in Lewiston. Lena took great pleasure in being a homemaker, and especially enjoyed cooking, baking and babysitting her nieces and nephews.
Lena was predeceased by her husband, Claude L. Morningstar and son, Wayne “Butchie” Morningstar. She is survived by four sisters, Annette (late Mil) McCormick, Carrie (late Dick) Gibbons, Alice (late Dom) Elia and Delores (Guido) Mistriner, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by three sisters, Ann (late Leo) Cicero, Josephine (late Ed) Zahno, Mary (late Bill) Kubas and three brothers, Frank (late Angie) Quigliano, Salvatore (late Jean) Quigliano and Lawrence (late Shirley) Quigliano, Sr.
Lena’s family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the entire staff of Niagara Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for the compassion and care that was given to her during her stay.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY followed by a prayer service at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel 3806 Pine Ave. Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Lynn Shumway officiating.
