Dr. and Mrs. C. C. Childs, Niagara
avenue, announce the engagement
of their daughter, Sally Lou to Lt.
Richard E. Zastrow, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Edward Zastrow, Hollywood,
Fla.
Miss Childs is a graduate of Niagara
Mis high school and the Deaconess
hospital school of nursing,
Buffalo. Her fiance, also a graduate
of Niagara Falls high school, attended
Niagara university and has
just returned after a tour of duty in
Korea.
The bride-elect has chosen her
sister, Mrs. Leslie Finney, to be her
only attendant for the wedding to
be solemnized on March 21. Mr.
George Longley, Silver Creek, will
be the best man and the ushers will
be Messrs. Eugene Gallivan, Buffalo,
and Nelson Boaers.
Miss Childs has been honored at a
linen shower by the Misses Marjorie
Stevenson and Carolyn Clark,
Buffalo. Mrs. George Chynoweth,
Escarpment drive, was hostess at a
kitchen shower for the future bride.

The marriage of Miss Sally Lou
Childs, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. C.
C. Childs, Niagara avenue, and LL
Richard Zastrow, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Edward W. Zastrow, Hollywood,
Fla., took place at 3 o'clock
this afternoon at the First Congregational
church.
The Rev. Graham D. Child officiated
at the double ring ceremony
before the altar enhanced with gladioli
and candelabra. The musical
setting w-as provided by Mr. Fred
Moir. who sang "Through the Years"
and "Oh, Promise Me." He was accompanied
by Mrv Violet Ehlers. '
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a strapless ballerinalength
gown of nylon t u l l e and
schiffly embroidery. It was fashioned
with a full bodice basque and a bouffant
skirt of tulle. F l o u n c e s of
schiffly embroidery in a design of
clusters of grapes completed the
sides of the skirt. The gown was
topped with a spencer jacket of embroidery
with long sleeves pointed
over the hand. Her fingertip-length
veil of nylon illusion was caught to
a shirred cloche of nylon tulle and
she carried a colonial bouquet centered
with a white orchid and surrounded
with lily-of-thc-valley and white
lilacs.
Mrs. Leslie H. Finney, sister of
the bride, was matron of honor. Her
strapless ballerina length gown of
orchid tulle was topped with a matching
lace jacket. She carried a colonial
bouquet of yellow roses and small
orchid mums and wore a crown of
orchid mums.
Mr. George Longley was best man
and the uslering duties were performed
by Mr. Nelson Bogers and
Mr. Leslie H. Finney.
Mrs. Childs favored a ballerinalength
gown of navy blue chiffon
and lace with white accessories and
a gardenia corsage. The mother of the
bridegroom chose a toast shantung
gown with brown accessories and a
gardenia corsage.
After the ceremony, the reception
was held in the church parlors where
the bride's table was artistically arranged
in an all white scheme.
For traveling the. former Miss
Childs has selected a petal pink gabardine
suit with navy blue accessories.
She will complete her ensemble
with a gray pink' poodle cloth
coat and corsage of blue gardenias.
The couple will leave by plane for
Washington, D. C, and Florida for
their wedding trip.
