The marriage of Miss Verna
Wendel, daughter of Mrs. Lily
D. Wendel of 212 William street,
to Mr. Frederick Zebulske of 1795
Ellwood avenue took place Thursday,
June 17 in the Salem Evangelical
church, the Rev. Walter
F. Hetzel officiating. The church
was prettily decorated with garden
flowers.
The bride, who was given In
marriage by her uncle, Mr. Raymond
Foels, wore a gown of
white silk lace over taffeta, made
princess style, with Queen Elizabeth
collar, and long pointed
sleeves. Her veil of illusion was
arranged in coronet fashion with
orange blossoms, and she carried
a shower bouquet of white roses
and gypsophila.
Miss Doris Turner, cousin of the
bride, was maid of honor, wearing
aquamarine embroidered net over
taffeta, made redingote style, with
headdress of peach maline, and
silver slippers. She carried talisman
roses. Mr. Arthur Peter attended
Mr. Zebulske as best man.
Mrs. Wendel, the bride's mother
wore navy blue lace and hat with
white accessories and a corsage of
white roses. The bride's grand-
mother Mrs. Rogge wore black
and white silk print with a corsage
of pink roses and white
sweetpeas.
A reception for 75 guests was
given in the evening at the home
of the bride, following a wedding
supper for twenty-six. Covers
were laid for ten at the bride's ta-
ble, which was centered with a
wedding cake, flanked by ivory
candles. The bride and groom
have left for a wedding trip to
New York city and will be at
home after June 22.
Among the out of town guests
present were Mrs. Frank Freder-
icks and daughter, Marilyn of
Cleveland, O.
