ENGAGED Miss Roberta M.
Stelnbrenner, whose engagement
to Mr. Richard Lewis Carr is announced
by her parents, Mr..and
Mrs. Gottlieb Stelnbrenner of

A lovely spring wedding was solemnized,
at St- Paul's Evangelical
Lutheran church at 4 p. m. Saturday.
March , when Roberta M.
Steinbrenner, daughter of Mr.and
Mrs. G. J. Steinbrenner, became the
bride of Mr. Richard L. Carr, son of
Mr. and Mrs'. Charles L. Carr. Rev.
Leonard Ludwig, DJD., assisted by
Rev. Arthur H. Schmoyer, D.D, officiated
at the Rouble ring ceremony.
The church' was beautifully decorated
with palms and nearly spring
flowers, softly accentuated by candle,
light.
Preceding the ceremony Miss
Marion Buckley sang "O Promise
Me" and "Because." accompanied by
Mrs. William Woodman at the organ.
The bride, given by marriage by
her father, was charming In a gown
of bridal white satin with lace edging
on the sweetheart neckline, long
pointed sleeves and fitted bodice, the
long full skirt ending in a graceful
train. Her fingertip veil of double-
Illusion fell from a tiara of net petals
encrusted with seed pearls. The bride
carried an arm bouquet of white
roses centered with an orchid.
Miss Lila M. Steinbrenner, only
sister of the bride and maid of
honor, wore a gown of delicate orchid
marquisette with sweetheart
neckline and shirred bracelet length
sleeves. Her bouquet, fashioned after
the bride's, consisted of yellow rosebuds
and daffodils, tied with yellow
streamers. Her headdress was of
ostrich plumes matching her gown.
Miss Jean Barkow, Mrs. William
Bradshaw and Miss Phylis Zimmer,
the bridesmaids, wore gowns fashioned
on the same lines as those of
the maid of honor of taffeta with
double net skirts. Miss Barkow and
Mrs. Hall in aqua and Mrs. Bradshaw
and Miss Zimmer in yellow.
Each carried arm bouquets of daffodils
with streamers contrasting
with their gowns. Their headdresses
were of matching ostrich plumes.
Mr. Jack Carr, brother of the
bridegroom, acted as best man. The
ushers were Messrs. George Hall,
Jack Cobbler and Emerson Dolan.
and Charles Carr, brother of the
bridegroom, was junior usher.
The bride's mother wore a brown
print Jersey dress trimmed with
green. Her accessories were of green
and white. The bridegroom's mother
wore a navy blue dress trimmed with
aqua. Her accessories were navy
blue and white. Each wore a corsage
of white sweet peas. The grandmother
of the bride wore black and
a corsage of white sweet peas.
Many relatives and friends from
out-of-town and this city were
present at the reception which was
held at the Prospect House.
The ballroom was lovely with
palms and spring flowers, the long
table centered with the five-tier
wedding cake. Music was furnished
by Ernie Whistler.
The bride and bridegroom left by
motor for a wedding trip to New
York City and Washington, D. C.
The bride's 'traveling costume was
a black three-piece wool crepe suit
with pink accessories .She also wore
the orchid center from her bridal
bouquet.
Mr. and Mrs. Carr will be at home
at 543 Tenth street, this city. The
bride was given many showers prior
to her wedding.
