Mr. tnd Mrs. Otto Zimmerman
of 449 Morgan street Tonawanda,
announce the marriage of their
ton, S/Sgt. Richard Zimmerman
to Miaa Emilia DeVico, of Cagerta,
Italy.
The double ring ceremony was
solemnized in beautiful St. Paul's
Cathedral in Italy. The bride
wore a wedding gown sent to her
by her sister who lives in Brooklyn,
N. Y.
A large wedding reception was
held following the ceremony, at
the home of the bride's godfather.
Many soldier buddies
of S/Sgt. Zimmerman and friends
and relatives of the bride attended.

During the war in Italy, Emilia's
parents, were killed in a
bombing raid, after which she
lived with her god-father in Caserta.
S/Sgt. Zimmerman is very anxious
to have his wife come to
America. Recently Mr. and Mrs.
Zimmerman, his parents, filed
Immigration papers for their daughter-
in-law's deportation to the
United States She is expected
soon S/Sgt. Zimmerman Is also
anticipating an early return to the
United States.
The groom has been in service
36 months, 33 of them having
been spent overseas. He received
training at Tort McClellan, Ala.,
and Camp Hill, Virginia. From
there he went to Camp Kilmer,
N. J., for embarkation and landed
at Casablanca at the time of
the invasion of Africa. He is
now stationed in Sardinia with
the headquarters of the military
missions of the Italian armies. He
wears five battle stars, representing
action in Tunisia, Africa,
Sicily, Salerno and the march on
Rome.
Mr. and Mrs. Zimmerman are
impatiently awaiting the arrival
of their son and daughter-in-law
to the United States.
