Puerto Rico was the honeymoon
destination for Peter C.
Werth and his bride, the former
Miss Bonnie R. Zimmerman,
who have returned and are now
at home in North Tonawanda.
They were married Oct. 22 in
a 6 o'clock candlelight ceremony
in St. Mark Evangelical
Lutheran Church before an altar
decorated with flowers in autumn
shades.
The bride is the daughter of
Mrs. Wallace Zimmerman, 308
North Ave., and the late Mr.
Zimmerman. The bridegroom's
parents are Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Werth, 193 Linwood Ave.
Lorry Zimmerman, brother of
the bride, gave her in marriage.
The Rev. Loren J. Shiley performed
the ceremony. Mrs. Judith
Toth, soloist, was accompanied
by George Kreiger at the
organ.
The bride wore an A-line Empire
gown of white dulcet satin.
Pearl - accented Alencon lace
framed the neckline and points
of the long sleeves and a watteau
train which accented the
A-line skirt. Her silk illusion
bouffant veil was held by a
crystal and lace forehead spray.
She carried a semi - cascade of
white roses, white pompons and
ivy.
Miss Ann Werth, maid of honor,
wore a floor length gown
combining emerald green velvet
bodice and sand crepe skirt.
Sand Venice lace detailed the
Empire line and edged the elbow
length ruffled sleeves. She wore
a veiled triple velvet coiffure
bow and carried a semi-cascade
arrangement of yellow chrysanthemums
and bronze pompons.
Wearing similar gowns combining
emerald green velvet
bodices and mint green crepe
skirts were the bridesmaids,
Miss Carol Muller, Miss Ann
Pacurari, Mrs. James Bulgey
and Mrs. Gerald Przybysz. They
wore matching coiffure bows
and carried bronze chrysanthemums
and yellow pompons.
Nancy Cox, the flower girl, was
dressed like the maid of honor.
David Werth attended his
brother as best man. Ushers
were James Werth, another
brother; James Zimmerman,
the bride's brother, Peter Brady
and Donald Werth. John Werth,
the bridegroom's brother was a
junior usher.
The bride's mother wore a
gold brocade dress with gold accessories
and the bridegroom's
mother chose a cranberry three
piece suit. Both wore white orchids.
A reception was given in Gratwick
Hose Company hall.
