of their daughter. Janet Arlene to

will enhance the altar of Grove
Street Christian Church for the
candlelight ceremony at 6 p.m.
today. Oct. 4. 1969. to unite in
marriage Miss Janet Arlene
Tooke and Thomas M. Tower.
The Rev. Donald L. Gardner
will officiate for the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Tooke of
200 Rogers .Ave.. Tonawanda.
and the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Marmon Tower of 17 Minerva
St.. Tonawanda.
The bride has selected an Aline
gown of Chantilly lace
fashioned with an Empire
bodice and a detachable
Watteau train. A cluster of
petals trimmed with lace and
seed pearls will hold her
bouffant illusion veil. She will
carry white roses, pompons and
stephanotis.
Miss Linda Tooke will be
maid of honor. The Bridesmaids
will be Miss Marcia Soldwisch,
Miss Gloria Tooke and Miss
Linda Tower. Lori Jo Tooke wjll
be flower girl for her sister.
They will be attired in orchid
chiffon gowns fashioned with
ruffles at the high necklines and
at the cuffs of the long sleeves
and deeper colored satin sashes
They will carry hurricane
lamps and lighted candles with
orchids and white pompons.
Jerry Bradley will be best
man. Ushers will be William
Thomas Border and Terry
Hughes. The ring bearer will be
Jeffrey Tooke, the bride's
nephew.
The bride's mother will wear
a light blue coat and dress
ensemble with silver
accessories. The mother of the
bridegroom has chosen an
apricot A-line dress with silver
accessories. Both wore white
orchid corsages.
A reception will be given in
Warren's Steak House.
The couple will take a
Canadian honeymoon.
