Mr. and Mrs. David William
Long, who were married in a 4
o'clock ceremony Saturday,
June 20, 1970, in Payne Avenue
Christian Church, are honey-
mooning in the Thousand
Islands.
The Rev. Lyle Newman
officiated before an altar
adorned with white gladioli and
chrysanthemums.
The bride, the former Miss
Brenda Jean Zobrist, is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack
V. Zobrist of 226 Rumbold Ave
North Tonawanda. The bridegroom's
parents are Mr. and
Mrs. George S. Long of 6616
Charlotteville Road, Newf ane.
A gown of white dotted Swiss
with sheer bishop sleeves was
worn by the bride. The gown
was fashioned with white lace
interwoven with white chiffon
ribbons on the Empire bodice.
An organza bow with matching
lace and seed pearls held her
elbow length veil and she carried
a colonial cascade of white
hyacinth bells, roses and pompons.
Miss Mary Ann Golembeski,
maid of honor, chose a yellow
dotted Swiss Empire A-line
gown with white lace inter-
woven with white chiffon. A bow
of matching material formed
her headpiece.
Similarly attired were the
bridesmaid, Miss Candace
Monks, and the junior bridesmaid,
Miss Lorna Zobrist, sister
of the bride.
John Sullivan was best man,
and John Smith ushered.
A reception in the church
fellowship hall followed the
ceremony.
