White pompons, chrysanthemums and carnations decorated
the altar of S t Matthew's Lutheran Church for the
wedding Nov. 29 of Miss Patricia Ann Nelson, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. John H. Nelson of Division Street, and Glenn
W. Zuch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold A. Zuch of Miller
Street,
In keeping with the candlelight theme, the family pews
were decorated with tall white candles tied with white satin
bows. The l e v . Paul H. Gassmann officiated at the double
ring ceremony.
Mrs Norman Garlapow, soloist,
sang "At Dawning" , "A Wedding Hall,
Benediction", sad 'The Lord's
Prayer". She was accompanied by
Mrs. Paul Richert at the organ.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a gown of candlelight
satin with a cathedral length ,,
train. "Her Juliet cap. trimmed
with tiny seed pearls, held her illusion
veil. She carried a
bouquet of white roses.
Attendants Gowns
Mrs. Paul r. Phernambucz, sis-
ter of the bride, was matron of
honor. She chose a floor length
strapless gown of shrimp satin
and nylon tulle with matching bo-
lero. She wore a tiara of Talisman
roses and rust pompons and car-
ried a matching bouquet of Talis-
man roses.
The Misses Sally Luther, Janet
Hall, and Dorothy Proefrock were
bridesmaids. They chose gowns
similar to the matron of honor's
but in Cotillion Blue satin and ny-
lon tulle. They carried matching
bouquets of yellow roses and pom-
pons and wore tiaras of the same.
Barbara Nelson, sister of the
bride, and Sherrell Phernambuecq,
niece of the bride, were flower
girls. They wore floor length
gowns of shrimptaffeta, tiaras of
Talisman roses and rust pompons
and carried colonial bouquets to
match.
Dean Zuch, cousin of the
groom, was best man. The ushers
were Paul Phernambucq, Robert
Hall, and Robert Siembt.
Bride's Mother in Blue
The bride's mother wore a floor
length gown of Hyacinth Blue chiffon
with elbow length, white nylon,
gloves. She chose rhinestone
accessories and wore a white or-
hid to complete her costume.
The mother of the groom wore s
floor length gown of Nile green
crepe with gloves, accesories, tad
flowers to match those of the
mother of the bride.
A wedding supper and reception
was held in the church hall. Yel-
low rosebuds and white candles ad-
orned the tables. A three-tiered
wedding cake centered the bride's
table.
Traveling Costume
For her traeling outfit the
bride chose to wear a Dusty-blue
dress with turf brown accesories.
An orchid corsage completed her
costume.
Among the hostesses who enter-
tained at pre-nuptial parties for
the bride were; Mrs. Harold A.
Zuch, Mrs. William Krause, Miss
Janet Hall, Miss Sally Luther, Mrs.
Gustave Lobien, and co-workers of
the Payne Ave. Office, Marine
Trust.
The bridegroom has returned to
Ft. Riley, Kansas where he is serv-
ing as a chaplain's assistant with
the 10th Infantry Division.
