The mariage of Miss Juan Bur-
cham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs
Roy Burcham of Amelia, Virginia
and LeVerne C. Pletcher, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Orlee Pletcher of
North Tonawanda, took place
Wednesday, January 16 at 8 p.m.
in Salem Methodist Church, Am-
elia, Virginia. The ceremony was
performed by candlelight by the
Rev. Linwood Stevenson. Pink
cedar branches, gladiolas and
snapdragons decorated the church.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, wore a white taffeta
gown with three quarter length
sleeves and a waist length veil
falling from a sequined headband.
She wore a corsage of two orchids
and carried a white Bible
with streamers of small mixed
flowers.
Miss Marion Pletcher, sister of
the groom, was maid of honor.
She wore a blue gown similar to
the briots and a corsage of pml
roses. Misses Fay and Lorraine
Burcham, sisters of the bride, were
bridesmaids. They wore pink
dresses and corsages of white gardenias.
Misses Nellie and Frances
Firesheets wearing white were
candle bearers.
Glenn Graham of North Ton-
wanda a friend of the groom,
was best man Messrs. Roy Martin,
of Amelia, Joseph Easter, of
Amelia, Corbin Easter of Mattoax
and Howard Easter of Amelia
were ushers.
The brides mother was attired
in green with brown accessories,
and a corsage of mixed flowers.
The groom's mother wore rose,
with tiny accessories and a corsage
of mixed flowers
Miss Jean Mann of Powhatan
sang, "I Love You Truly'', before
the ceremony, and later 'The
Sweetest Story Ever Told". Mrs
A. A. Johns, of Amelia, was the
organist.
Later a reception for approxi-
mayely seventy five guests, in-
including relatives and friends from
North Tonawanda, N.Y. attended.
