Miss Mildred Kain of Fordham
Drive, Buffalo, enterained at a
bridge luncheon and kitchen
shower Saturday afternoon at the
Buffalo Athletic Club in honor of
Miss Bernice Rech, whose marriage
will take place this month.
Four tables of bridge were in
play following the luncheon, and
a favor was awarded to Miss Leona
Semon who presented it to the
bride-to-be. Miss Rech's place
was marked with a corsage bouquet
and she was the recipient of
many gifts.

Ten Years Ago
Miss Bernice Grace Rech, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rech
of 57 Elmwood Park, and Bernard Allyn Kain of Buffalo were united
in marriage at St. Joseph's Cathedral, Buffalo, Wednesday morning.

A lovely summer wedding took
place at 11 o'clock Wednesday
morning, August 15th, when Miss
Bernice Grace Rech, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Charles- A. Rech of
57 Elm wood Park became the bride
of Bernard Allyn Kain, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Edward Kain of 96 Fordham
Drive, Buffalo. The marriage
took place at the new Saint Joseph's
Cathedral in Buffalo, with
Monsignor Charles EL Duffy officiating.
The bride wore a white crepe ensemble
with a small white transparent
velvet hat and carried an
arm bouquet of cala lilies.
Miss Mildred Kain, sister of the
groom, was maid of honor and wore
a yellow crepe ensemble with
brown transparent velvet hat and
carried an arm bouquet of Talisman,
roses.
Earl Wright of Buffalo was best
man and Donald Williams of Longs
avenue, and Walter Carroll of
North Tonawanda served as ush-
e r s.
Mrs, Lynn Keyes, harpist of Buffalo
and Earl Thompson, violinist,
of Lockport avenue, played incidental
music as well as the weddi
ing march.
Mrs. Rech, mother of the bride
wore a flowered chiffon ensemble
with brown silk hat and a shoulder
bouquet of gardenias. The
groom's mother was gowned in
beige lace with a cream lace hat
and shoulder bouquet of gardenias.
Following the ceremony, a wedd-
ing breakfast was. served to fifty
at the Park Lane. Guests were
seated at a T-shaped table, decorated
with a large bowl of roses
and delphinium and a wedding
Mr. and Mrs. Kain left for New
York and will embark on a West
Indies cruise today. The bride wore
a brown crepe ensemble with brown
felt hat as a going-away outfit.
