Catherine Selover, organist at
the Evangelical United Brethren
Church, was guest organist in
First Presbyterian Church for the
marriage of Miss Dorothy Rech
and Alvin R. Marohn on June
23.

Garden flowers and lighted candles formed the background
in First Presbyterian Church on Manday, June 28
at 4:30 p.m. for the marriage of Miss Dorothy Rech, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Fred A. Rech of 459 Niagara street, and
Alvin R. Marohn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Marohn of 366
Morgan street The Rev. Stanley R. Boughton officiated.
The bride wore a floor length
gown of white vel-varay with a
bonnet brim of matching material
and long lace mitts, and carried
an arm bouquet of white roses.
Miss Jane Bestier, the maid-ofhonor,
wore a similar gown of
yellow with a matching bonnet
brim and long lace mitts, and carried
an arm bouquet of yellow
roses accented with lavender
flowers.
LeGrand Marohn attended his
brother as best man. Fred A. Rech
Jr., and Kenneth Garlapo were
the ushers.
Mrs. Rech, mother of the bride,
chose a dress of navy sheer crepe
with matching accessories while
Mrs. Marohn, mother of the bridegroom,
selected a black print
crepe. Both wore shoulder corsages
of white roses.
A wedding reception for 150
guests followed the ceremony in
the home of the bride's parents.
Buffet refreshments were served
from a lace covered table centered
with a tiered wedding cake adorned
with miniature dove ornament.
Mrs. LeGrand Marohn, Miss Clara
Barofske and Mrs. Wallace Struebing
presided.
Mr. and Mrs. Marohn left for a
a week's stay in Lake Placid, the
bride wearing a traveling costume
of beige crepe with brown accessories.
Upon their return they will
make their home in Hinds street,
Tonawanda.
Among the guests attending the
wedding were Dr. and Mrs. N. Lee
Otis, Mrs. Bernice Goetz, Miss
Rosemary Bradley, Miss Edna
Pollock, all of East Aurora; Mrs.
Margie Fries Haven and daughter
of Ebenezer; Mr. and Mrs.
Nelson Koeppen and children,
Douglas and Maureen of Dunkirk;
Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Kirkpatrick
and son, James of Middleburg;
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Whissler
and Miss Fay Tanner of Kenmore.
Prenuptial parties were given
in honor of the bride by Miss Bestier,
Mrs. Haven, Mrs. Wallace
Struebing, Mrs. Roy Kibler, Mrs.
Wilbur Janke.
Mr. and Mrs. Marohn are both
graduates of Tonawanda High
School and the latter was graduated
from the Dental Dispensary
in Rochester, N. T. Mr. Marohn
served, during the war, in the
African and European campaigns
