LEWISTON - Mrs. Julia
Whitney Reichert, 83, of 225
North Second St., a former
Lewiston librarian for 10 years,
died Saturday (April 8,1972) in
Memorial Medical Center
where she had been a patient
for two weeks.
She was born in Brockport,
the daughter of John and
Josephine Whitney, and lived
in this village for 13 years.
Before that, she lived in
Niagara Falls.
She was the widow of George
J. Reichert, an executive with
the Niagara Mohawk Power
Corp.
She was a member of the
Niagara Falls Garden Club,
and member and past regent of
the Niagara Falls Chapter of
the GAR, Niagara Falls
Council of Girls Scouts, the
Lewiston Study Club, the
Lewiston Historical Society,
and St. Paul's Episcopal
Church.
She is survived by a
daughter, Mrs. Cecil (Helen)
Chadwick'of this village; two
sons, John Reichert of
Youngstown, and Edward J.
Reichert of Gorham, N.H. and
seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held
at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's
Episcopal Church with the
Rev. Richard Norris officiating.
Burial will be in
Riverdale Cemetery.
