Mr. and Mrs. Donald E.
Plant of 101 Broad street, Tonawanda,
announce the engagement
of their daughter, Nora Jean to
Robert L. Utter, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Clifford E. Utter of 734
Harding avenue. The wedding
will take place in August.

A pretty wedding was soiemnized
on Saturday, August 17 at 3
p m. in Grace Methodist Church
when Miss Norma Jean Plant,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald
Plant of 101 Broad street Tonawanda,
became the bride of Robert
L. Utter of North Tonawanda.
Rev. John Saudmeyer performed
tha ceremony before the alter
which waa decorated with .white
phlox and palms
Martin Brauer sang "I Love
You Truly" and "Because" with
Mrs. Conal Kitchen, organ accompanist.
Given in marriage by her father
the bride wore a gown fashioned
with white satin bedice trimmed
with silk brocade, long sleeves
coming to points at the wrists and
a full marquisette skirt with long
train. Her flnger tip veil waa arranged
with pearlized orange
blossoms and she carried a bouquet
of white gardenias and white
glamellias. A strand of pearls, the
gift of tha bridegroom, waa her
only jewelry'
Miss Francis Pietak, tha maid
of honor, was attired in a pink
marquisette gown trimmed with
tiny rose colored bows. She wore
a matching shoulder veil and carried
pink glamellias and delphinium,
tied with blue satin ribbon.
Gordon Niedrauer attended the
bridegroom as best man and Leslie
Glass and Charles Neidrauer
ware the ushers.
A black gabardine suit with
black and white accessories and a
corsage of white glamellias and
red rosea was worn by the bride's
mother and the bridegrooms
mother selected a dusty rose lace
dress with white accessories and
corsage of white glamellias and
yellow roses. Mrs. John Ruhlman,
grandmother of the bride, chose
a black suit with black accessories
and a corsage of mixed flowers.
.Following a wedding dinner for
the bridal party at Lyons Tea
Room, Buffalo, a reception for
friends and relatives was held in
Delaware Hotel. Guests were present
from Buffalo, Rochester, Florida
and Pennsylvania.
The couple left for a short motor
trip, Mrs. Utter wearing a
gray gabardine suit with black
and white accessories and gardenias.
Upon their return they will
ha at home in 981 Goundry street
Pre-nuptial parties for the bride
were given by Miss Mary Di Virgilio
and Miss Francis Pietak, Mrs
Herman Knoole and Mrs Paul
Jackson.
