A pretty.home wedding took place
Saturday evening, March 15th, when
Miss Marion Rosetta Morris, da ughter
of Captain and Mrs. B. K. Morris
of Tenth street, was married to William
E. Benedict of Buffalo avenue.
The wedding took place at the bride's
home at 6 o'clock, amid a bower of
cut flowers and palms. The Rev.
Spencer B. Owens of St, Paul's Methodist
Episcopal church officiating.
The bride, who was given In marriage,
by her father, wore a gown of
sand colored crepe and carried a
shower bouquet of white roses. The
attendants were Mrs. Lloyd Eddy,
sister of the groom and Julius T.
Morris, brother of the bride. Mrs.
Eddy wore royal blue satin trimmed
with gold cloth and carried an arm
bouqut of .pink rosea and sweet peas.
The house was decorated with 'lowers
and palms, colors being pink and
white.
Mrs. Morris, mother Of the- bride,
was in beaded net over black satin,
with this she wore an antique cameo
of rare design, giving her gown ft
rather elaborate touch. Mrs. John A.
Flynn. mother of the groom, wore
taupe French crepe, decorated with a
chain. stitched motif of a deeper
shade". -
'The ceremony was followed by a
receptlonfland supper. The bride's
table was laid for nine guests and
centered with a prettily decorated
wedding cake surrounded by pink and
bride's roses and asparagus ferns.
Mrs. Edith Daniels, Mrs. Margaret
Woodhall and Mrs. Harry" Phillips assisted
Mrs. Morris serving.
Among the entertainments given recently
in honor of Miss Norris were
those by the Misses Betty Foley. Celta
Poole and May McDonald, a'dinner
at the Red Coach Inn, followed by ft
theatre party. Miss Morris has a
charm and simplicity of manner whlcn
always made her a great favorite
among her many friends.
After a brief eastern trip, Mr. and
Mrs. Benedict plan to reside with the
bride's parents In Tenth street.
Among the out-of-town guests
present were Miss Grace Shackleton
of St. Catharines. Ont. and Mr. and
Mrs. Miles O. Wellman and daughter,
Gabriella. of Youngstown, N. Y.
