Milton E. "Ollie" Clark

WILSON — Milton E. "Ollie" Clark, of Wilson, December 24, 2013, in Lockport. He was born December 19, 1922 and was the son of the late Merle and Ethel (Ward) Clark.
Ollie attended local schools and enlisted in the United States Army during WWII. He met and married Helen P. Clark on January 28, 1950. He was a Union Carpenter for Local 280 out of Lockport, and worked on the Power Project and Somerset as a millwright.
Ollie enjoyed working on his farm on 425 and built his own home and many others in Wilson, including garages and inside remodeling.
A village trustee he was also Wilson's building inspector and an Exempt member of the Wilson Volunteer Fire Company #1; 60-year member of the Martin F. Jennings Post 836 and VFW. Ollie was a lifetime member of the Wilson Historical Society and Our Lady of the Rosary R.C. Church. He liked to hunt, fish and go to the casino.
A league bowler for the fire company and senior citizens, he always drove a red Ford state truck which doubled as the judge's stand at Wilson Field Days. Ollie enjoyed living in Wilson because he cared about the community and the people in it.
Surviving is a son, Dennis E. (Georgia) Clark of Newfane; a daughter, Donna M. (Michael) Nowacki of Lockport; a sister, Lois LaJoie of Appleton; grandchildren, Courtney and Jared Nowacki of Lockport, Stacee Clark of Niagara Falls, and several great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Clark of Hayward, CA; many nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his first wife, Shirley (Scheffler) Clark.
Visitation will be Friday 3-6 PM in the Hamilton and Clark Funeral Home, 270 Young Street, Wilson, where funeral services will be Saturday at 11 AM. Memorial contributions to Wilson Fire Company #1, PO Box 609, Wilson, NY 14172.
