Ebdon were married Saturday (Aug. 26,1972) in
a 6 p.m. ceremony at St. Paul's United Methodist
Church, Wilmington, Del. The Rev. William
Hemphill Jr. officatedat the double ring service.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Melvin A. Ruff, 2721 Cleveland Ave., Niagara
Falls, N.Y. Mr. Ebdon is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
J. T. Ebdon Jr., 4214 Tee Road, Sarasota, Fla.
Given In marriage by her father, the bride
wore a semi-empire gown of Qiana which she
designed herself. The gown, made for the bride
by a family friend, Miss Marion Lamont of
Niagara Falls, was fashioned with bell sleeves
and apron style train of white cotton eyelet. A
lace Juliet cap secured her veil and she carried a
cascade and nosegay bouquet of white carnations
and yellow rosebuds. Bouquets of the
bride and her atfendants all contained white
heather sent from Scotland by friends.
MRS. MICHAEL RHONEY, Niagara Falls,
was matron of honor. She wore a gown of navy
blue linen with four inset panels of white embroidery
and carried a bouquet of yellow carnations
and white rosebuds.
Similarly styled gowns were worn by the
bridesmaids, Mrs. Dennis Carlone, New York
City; Mrs. Richard Scudera, Little Falls, N.J.;
Miss Sandra Gissas, Briston, Conn.; and Miss
Sandra Stanchick, South Meridan, Conn.
Capt. Thomas J. Ebdon, Webb Air Force Base,
Tex., was best man for his brother. Ushers were
Robert J. Kacmarcik, Gerald T. Burch,
Lawrence F. O'Brien, all of Wilmington; and
Robert A. Lutz, Charlotte, N.C.
An evening reception was held at the DuPont
Country Club, Wilmington.
On their return from a wedding trip to Bermuda,
Mr. and .Mrs. Ebdon will live at 10 Furman
Court, Greenbridge, Newark, Del. The
bride is a.DuPont,customer service representative
and Mr. Ebdon is a technical marketing
representative with the same company.
