H. J. Schrader,Retired Farmer,Dies In Newfane
NEWFANE - Herman J.Schrader, 77, died after a short illness at his home, 2756 Orchard St., Sunday (Jan. 7. 1962). He had resided there for the past five years. Prior to that he had lived in Olcott for 47 years, he;farmed most of his life.Mr. Schrader was born Jan. 30,1884, in Germany, son of Christopher and Hannah Schrader, and came to the United States at the:age of one and a half years. Mr. Iand Mrs. Schrader celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary March 30, 1961.He is survived by his wife,Mary Schurr Schrader; a son, Clifford Schrader of Newfane; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Miller and Mrs. Hiram Whitcher, both of,Lockport; a brother, Rudolph Schrader of Wilson; a step-brother, Albert Rohring of Westfield; ia granddaughter and two great grandchildren.Friends may call at their convenience, beginning at 7 this evening at the home of his son, Clifford Schrader, 2576 West Creek Road, Newfane, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday.The Rev. William Dallman of St. Johns Lutheran Church will officiate. Arrangements are being made by the Corwin Funeral Home
