CARL BUCKNER
WILSON—Carl Buckner, 72,
of 171 Lake St., here, died
Wednesday (Dec. 29, 1971) at
the Newfane Inter-Community
Hospital.
He was born Aug. 21,1899 in
Medina, the son of Edward and
Pearl Wood Buckner. He
married Gladys Stahl on April
27, ,1924 in North Tonawanda.
They moved to Wilson in 1926.
He was employed by
Hamilton and Clark Inc. from
1926 to 1956 and part-time at the
Wilson Central School as a
custodian and bus driver from
1944 to 1956 and fulltime from
1956 until his retirement in
1963.
For six years he taught
upholstery to adult education
classes at the Wilson Central
School. -
He was a member of the
Exley United Methodist
Church and was an exempt
volunteer fireman of the
Wilson Volunteer Fire Co.
Besides his wife, he is survived
by two daughters, Mrs.
Glenn (Gwenn) Martin of
North Tonawanda and Mrs.
Robert (Brenda) Bradley of
Newfane; a sister, Mrs. Edward
(Mildred) Stull of Kenmore;
a grandson, Scott
Martin, and three granddaughters,
Ellen Martin,
Kimberly Bradley and Nadine
Bradley.
Friends may call at the
Hamilton and Clark Funeral
Chapel, where funeral services
will be held Friday at 3:30
p.m., with the Rev. Gordon
Loomis officiating. Burial will
be in Mountain Ridge
Cemetery, Town of Royalton.
