BURT, May 4- The marriage
of Miss Shirley Ann Howard,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth
Howard, Burt, and William J. Pro-
venza, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ross
Provenza, 516 Park Ave., Lock-
port, was solemnized Saturday
morning at St. Anthony's Church.
The ceremony was performed by
the Rev. George H. Godley.
Mr. Howard gave his daughter
in marriage. She was attired; in a
gown of white brocaded organdy
fashioned with a fitted bodice, long
pointed sleeves; and a scalloped
illusion neckline, A wreath of seed
pearl flowers held her waist-length
veil and she carried a prayer book
topped by a- white ^orchid. 'Pearl'
earrings and necklace completed
her ensemble.
Mrs. Thomas Randall, Newfane,
was matron of honor. Shea
ballerina-length gown of light blue
brocaded organdy.
The bridesmaids were Miss
Frances DiFilippo, of Lockport,
cousin of the groom, Miss Nancy
Howard, Burt, and Mrs. Gordon
Rhodes, Lockport, sisters of the
bride. Their gowns were of yellow
brocaded organdy fashioned after
that of the matron of honor and
they carried colonial bouquets,
The best man was Donald Ruberto
and the .ushering duties were
performed by Edwin Howard, Burt,
brother of the bride, James Lambalzer
and James Rehm, Lockport.
The wedding "music was played by
Mrs: Carl J. Callahan.
. For her daughter's Wedding, Mrs.
Howard wore a dress of dusty rose
lace with navy accessories and. a
corsage of blue and white carnations.
Mrs. Provenza chose a dress
of navy lace and navy and white
accessories. She wore a corsage of
pink and white carnations.
Following the ceremony, a .wed-
ding breakfast was served to the
immediate families and the bride's
grandmother, Mrs. May Tinney,
Newfane, at the Knight of Co-
lumbus hall, Lockport, where the
evening reception was also held.
When the1 couple left for a wedding
trip to Washington, D.C., the
bride wore a navy suit with red
and white accessories and orchid
corsage. They will be at home at
516 Park Ave., Lockport.
The bride attended Newfane
Central School and Mr. Provenza
was graduated from De Sales
Catholic High School, and served
two years in the U.S. Army.
