An employe of the City of Niagara
Falls for 25 years, Anthony
John Adams, 47, of 2435 Ontario
avenue, died suddenly while watching
a baseball game at Hyde Park
stadium last, night. He was pro
nounced dead by Dr. Salvatore
LaTona before firemen, under Deputy
Chief John R, Barron, arrived
at the scene,
Born in Crescent, Pa., Mr. Adams
had resided in this city for 42
years. He was employed as a welder
In the welding shop at the. corporation
yard, was In charge of
the large garage there and at times
drove the truck for the street repair
department.
He was a member of the, City
Employes union,' Local 138; the
Pulaksl club and the Young Men's
Republican club.
Surviving are his wife, Mary
Yanlk Adams; six daughters, Mrs.
John Padgett, Mrs. Earl Welsby,
Mrs. Francis Martlneau, Betty and
Barbara .Adams, all of this city three
sons, Pfc. Robert Adams,
USAF. Randolph field, Tex; John
and Thomas, both of this city; his
father, Anthony Adams; two brothers,
Charles and John, and two
grandchildren, all of this city;
Funeral services win,be held at
8:30 am. Tuesday at the home, 2435
Ontario avenue; and at 9 o'clock at
Sacred Heart church. Interment
will be in Gate of Heaven cemetery.
