July 20 wedding in St. Mark Lutheran Church is planned by.
Miss Cheryl Louise Aiken and Larry Gerdes, son of Mr. and
Mrs. George Gerdes of West Seneca, whose engagement is
announced by the bride-elect's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. Lyle
Aiken of 168 Linwood Ave., North Tonawanda. Miss Aiken is
a 1966 graduate of North Tonawanda Senior High School. Her
fiance, a graduate of Concordia Teachers College, Seiward, Neb.,
is on the faculty of St. Mark Lutheran School, North Tonawanda.

Bouquets of white gladioli and
carnations adorned the altar of
St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran
Church, North Tonawanda,
today for the 4:30 p.m. wedding
of Miss Cheryl Louise Aiken and
Larry William Gerdes.
The Rev. Albert Bahn performed
the ceremony for the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.
Lyle Aiken of 168 Linwood Ave..
North Tonawanda, and the son
of Mr. and Mrs. George Gerdes
of 156 Reserve Road, West
Seneca.
Escorted to the altar by her
father, the bride wore a
traditional gown of Bombazine
fashioned with long sleeves and
a sabrina neckline trimmed
with Chantilly lace. An insert of
matching lace accented the
bouffant skirt and the chapel
length train. Her three-tier
illusion veil was caught to a
spray of lace, pearls and
crystals. She carried a cascade
of white carnations and pink
sweetheart roses.
Miss Beverly Moll, maid of
honor, was attired in a yellow
skimmer gown of karate
fashioned with elbow-length
sleeves. Venice lace trimmed
the high neckline and back panel
extending from the shoulders.
Clusters of petals held her short
veil. She carried a cascade of
carnations and roses tied with
matching streamers.
Similarly attired in rainbow
colors were the bridesmaids.
Miss Holly Bukowski, Miss
Wendy Ellman and Mrs. Diane
Zartman, all cousins of the
bride, and the flower girl, Miss
JoniLohr.
Wayne Gerdes was his brother's
best man. Ushering were
Michael Aiken, brother of thp
bride; Jerry Waldkoetter and
Ronald Ellman. Jeffrey
Lehman was ring bearer.
The mother of the bride chose
a pink lace skimmer dress with
a lace jacket and matching
accessories. Mrs. Gerdes wore
a blue sheath dress with white
accessories. Corsages of
cymbidium orchids complemented
both ensembles.
A reception was given m
Rescue Fire Hall.
After a trip to Washington,
D.C. and Floria, the couple will
make their home in 1226 Payne
Ave., North Tonawanda.
