- August 21, 2013 Kenneth E. Poeller Anonymous The Tonawanda News The Tonawanda News Thu Aug 22, 2013, 03:17 PM EDT CITY OF TONAWANDA — Kenneth E. Poeller, age 86, of the City of Tonawanda, Monday, August 19, 2013 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. A lifelong resident of Tonawanda, he was the husband of Louise M. (nee Koepsel) Poeller, who died in 2008. A US Army veteran serving during World War II, he had been employed as a Truck Driver and Warehouse Manager for Murray's Furniture. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, a life-member of Tonawandas' Post 264 American Legion and a former TBA champion. He was also a charter member of the Unknown Club. He is survived by five children, Linda (Tom Burakowski) Sylvester of Buffalo, Mark (Donna) Poeller of Omaha, NE, Terry (Lynn) Poeller of Hamburg, Thomas (Laurie) Poeller of Las Vegas, NV and Daniel (fiance Sandy Holler-Taylor) Poeller of Tonawanda; fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Faith (Douglas) Threader and June (Kenneth) Brown of Ohio; and a brother, Dalton Poeller of Pendleton. He was the brother of the late Ruth, Margaret, Fred, Jean, Eugene, Robert, Keith, Calvin and Ethel. Also many nieces and nephews. There will be no prior visitation. A private interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, August 24th at 10 AM in Immanuel Lutheran Church, cor. of Scott and William Sts., in Tonawanda. The Rev. Andrew Abraham will officiate. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or to the American Heart Assn. Arrangements by John O.
