Mrs Nellie Timmons Allen, wife of
Alexander J. Allen and widely known
member of one if this city's oldest
famillies, died last night at the
family home 706 Buffalo avenue. She
had been ill for about two months.
funeral plans were being completed
today.
Mrs Allen was the daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Timmons.
who were among the community's
most widely known residents in early
village days. She was educated at
the old Nardin Academy in Niagara
street and was a lifelong resident of
this city. Her husband Is a widely
known building contractor who was
formerly President of the Common
Council and for many years was a
leader in Republican politics.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Allen is
survived by a daughter, Alma; three
nephews, John Canavan and George
Timmons of this city, and Charles
Canavan of Pittsburgh, and a niece,
Alive Timmons of Detroit.
