- BENDER - In Veterans Hospital, Buffalo, N.Y., Feb. 11, 1965. Ralph R. Bender of 2485 Cayuga St., Bergholtz, N.Y. Husband of Mildred. Father of Mrs. Joe Ketch, this city, Mr. Lawrence Neubauer of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; uncle of Mrs. Frank Garwood, this city. Also survived by 8 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the Lane Funeral Home, Inc., 8622 Buffalo Ave., Sunday, Feb. 14, at 2 p.m. and from Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Bergholtz, N.Y. at 2:3C P.m. The Rev. Albert Bahr officiating. Interment Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m.

R. R. Render Dies at 70
Ralph R. Bender, 70. of 2485 Cayuga St., Bergholtz, died in Buffalo Veterans Hospital today (Feb. 11, 1965) after a three-year illness. Born in Buffalo, he lived in Niagara Falls before moving to Bergholtz 21 years ago, and was a truck driver for Consolidated Cartage Co. of Buffalo. He retired six years ago. He was a veteran of World War 1, serving in the Army, and served with U.S. forces in France. Mr. Bender was a member of the American Legion Post No. 1451, Bergholtz. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mildred Bender; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Joseph Ketch, Niagara Falls, and Mrs. Laurence Neubauer, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. A niece, Mrs. Frank Garwood, Niagara Falls, and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Lane Funeral Home Sunday at 2. p.m. and at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Bergholtz, at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Albert Bahr, officiating. Burial will be In Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 p.m.to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. beginning Friday.
