The marriage of Miss Leona M.
Andres, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Otto Andres of 310 Adam street,
to Angus J. Seamans, Jr., of 50
Main street, Tonawanda, was solemnized
Saturday afternoon, October
22. at 3:30 o'clock in the
Salem Evangelical and Reformed
church, the Rev. Walter F. Hetzel,
pastor of the church, and the Rev.
Angus Seamans of Schenectady.

the presence of nearly 300 guests.
The church decorations were
baskets and vases of autumn flow,
ers and white candles adorned the
altar. Miss Carrie Oswald played
the wedding music and preceding
the ceremony Mr. Walter Andres
sang two vocal solos, "Because,"
and "O, Perfect Love."
The bride, who was given In
marriage by her father, wore a
beautiful gown of white lace with
Queen Anne collar, having long
tight sleeves and a train. Her
finger tip veil of illusion hur.g from
a cap of lace and orange blossoms
and she carried a shower bouquet
of white roses and baby
breath. Miss Verna Andres, sister
of the bride, was her only attendant
wearing a gown of dusty
rose lace, with doll hat and other
accessories of burgundy. Her
bouquet was of pink roses and
chrysanthemums. Mr. Donald
Hooper attended the groom as best
man. and the ushers were Mr.
Kenneth Andres and Mr Lauren
Andres.
Mrs. Andres, the bride's mother,
was gowned in wine crepe,
and Mrs. Seamans. mother of the
groom, in navy crepe. Each wore
a corsage of rose sweet peas.
In the evening a reception for
150 was given at the bride's home.
Baskets and vases of fall flowers
were attractively arranged in the
various rooms. Covers were laid
for eight at the bride's table, over
which was suspended a white
wedding bell, and which had a
three tiered wedding cake as the
centerpiece.
Among the guests present were
the Rev and Mrs- Angus J. Seamans,
the Misses Ruth and Grace
Seamans. Mr. and Mrs. Earl
Verkles of Schenectady; Mr. and
Mrs. Elmer Alt and family. Miss
Louise Woods of Buffalo and Mr.
and Mrs. Nathan Hawthorne of
Providence. R. I.
Previous to her wedding the
bride was feted at showers by
Mrs. Otto Andres. Miss Margaret
Crowell. Miss Andrey Janke. Miss
Helen H a l i t e M - Verna Andres
and the Psi Chi Beta sorority Zeta
chapter.
