Mrs. and Mrs. Robert L. Ankenbauer Jr.,
525-72 St., announce the engagement of their
daughter. Miss Donna Lee Ankenbauer, to
Ronald H. Griffith, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Harley Griffith, 6112 Walmore Road, Sanborn.
Miss Ankenbauer a graduate of LaSalle
Senior High School and is employed at Woodward
Agency, Inc.
Mr. Griffith is a graduate of Niagara-Wheatfield
Senior High School and is employed by
Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., Inc. He is a member
of the 107th Tactical fighter Group,
N.Y.Air National Guard.
A June 5 wedding is being planned.

Presbyterian Church was the
scene Saturday (June 5, 1971)
for the marriage of Miss
Donna Lee Ankenbauer and
Ronald H. Griffith. The Rev.
Ray K. Hallin officiated at
the 5 p.m. double r i ng
ceremony.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee
Ankenbauer Jr., 525 72nd St.,
and the bridegroom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Harlev Griffith,
6112 Walmore Road, Sanborn.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a silk
organza gown with high
neckline, long puffed sleeves,
A-line skirt and chapel train,
trimmed in Venice lace. Her
headpiece of lace daisies
secured an elbow-length veil
arid her bouquet of white
daisy pom poms and pink
roses was arranged on a satin-
covered Bible belonging to
her mother. She carried her
great-grandmother's w h i te
linen handkerchief.
MISS PATRICIA BEAVER,
maid of honor, wore a lilac
voile gown with white linen
inserts at the neckline, a high
wadst, A-Une skirt and long
sleeves. She wore a matching
picture hat and carried a
bouquet of white daisy pom
poms.
The bridesmaids, wearing
similarly styled orchid voile
gowns, were Miss Deborah
Ankenbauer; Miss Joan Griffith,
sister of the bridegroom;
Miss Katherine Mietlicki; and
Miss Judith Hobba.
The bride's twin cousins,
Kim and Karen Laughlin,
were flower, girls in lilac voile
gowns made by the bride.
They carried baskets o f
daisies. John Sclera, the
b r i d e ' s c o u s i n , and
Christopher Neubauer were
ring bearers.
James Gorban was best
man. Ushers were Spec. 5C.
Gary Ankenbauer, the bride's
brother; Donald McCloud,
Dewayne Cummings . a nd
Michael Blake.
A reception was held at,the
Veterans of Foreign Wars
Hall, Post 917, LaSalle Griffon
hall. After a wedding trip to
Canada and Pennsylvania,
Mr. and Mrs. Griffith will
make their home in Fifth
Street.
