Bernice May (Richner) Kephart, longtime resident of Niagara Falls passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 after a lengthy illness. She was 81. She was born in West Decatur, Pennsylvania on May 8, 1933, a daughter of the late Ivan “Rick” and Ora (Yarger) Richner. She attended Pennsylvania schools and graduated from Philipsburg High School. She married Roy C. Kephart in 1955 and together they moved to Niagara Falls.
Mrs. Kephart worked as a clerk at Thruway Fasteners until her retirement in 1995. She enjoyed bingo but her greatest joy was her time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Roy C. Kephart, her two sons: Roy Joseph (Patricia) Kephart of Tonawanda and Brian L. (Karen) Kephart of Erie, Colorado; 5 grandchildren: Jennifer (Terry) Attea, Michael Kephart, Ryan (Chelsea) Kephart, Chris Kephart and LeeAnne Marie Kephart. She is also survived by her sister Mildred Kline of Wheatfield. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her siblings Iva Baughman and Glenn Richner.
Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue on Sunday from 2-5 PM where funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:30 AM. Burial will be private in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery in the Town of Lewiston.
