MISS PATRICIA ANN BALLING'S engagement to Richard Lee
Himes, son of William Himes of Brockway, Pa., is announced
by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. Joseph Balling of 409 Fletcher
St. No date has been announced.

Wearing a gown of white slipper
satin and an illusion veil Miss Patricia
Ann Balling, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. M. Joseph Balling of 409
Fletcher St. became the bride of
Richard Lee Himes of Brockway,
Pa. in a ceremony performed Nov.
29 in the rectory of St. Francis
Church. The Rev. Wilbur Yaeger
officiated.
Attendants for the couple were
Mr. and Mrs. Michael Balling Jr.
as matron of honor and best man
°ml Judith Ann Balling, the bride's
niece, as flower girl.
Bride Carries Roses
Tiny button fsastened .the basque
of the bride's gown which was
fashioned with a Peter Pan collar,
long fitted sleeves, pointing over
the wrists, and a cathedral length
train. Accordian pleated inserts of
lace accented the bodice. Her veil
was caught to a Juliet cap, trim-
mod with teadrop pearls, and she
carried a colonial bouquet of white
roses and pompons showered with
white satin ribbon.
Mrs. Balling Jr. wore e gown of
American Beauty taffeta net with
draped collar ami off - shoulder
neckline. Lace mitts and a head
dress matched her gown and she
carried a colonial Vouquet of white
chrysanthemums and American
Beauty roses.
Flower Girl in Aqua
The flower's girl's frock was of
aqua taffeta and net and the under
skirt was caught up with rosebuds.
She wore a matching poke
bonnet with floor length streamers
and carried a colonial bouquet of
white pompons and yellow roses
tied with a shower of aqua ribbon.
For her daughter's wedding Mrs.
Balling chose* ° black lace and
crepe floor length dress with lace
stole and wore an orchid. The
bridegroom's mother wore ° black
and white print dress and an orchid.
Reception Given
A wedding breakfast was served
in the bride's home with covers
for 14 tt the bride's table, which
was centered with white chrysanthemums
and carnations. At an
evening reception in the Eagles
Home, 175 guests were present
from Pennsylvania, Wellsville, Niagara
Falls, Buffalo and the Tonawandas.
A wedding cake adorned
the table where punch was served.
After a wedding trip, Mr. and
Mrs. Himes are at home in 447

Hostesses at showers for the
bride were Miss Julia Near, the
bride's aunt and Mrs. Michael Balling,
Jr.
