Yellow poms and apricot
carnations completed by
cascading bows and greens
and a candelabra complemented
the altar of Sacred
Heart Church last Saturday,
June 12 for the marriage of
Linda Ann Szczechowiak and
Michael Anthony Restivo. The
4 p.m. rites were performed by
the Rev. Msgr. Eugene
Marcinkiewicz and the papal
blessing was bestowed upon
the newly married couple
following the ceremony.
Reading during the wedding
was done by Anthony Parada,
Godfather and uncle of the
bride, and altar boys were
Darren Parada and Michael
Parada, cousins of the bride.
Gifts were presented by Mrs.
tneresa r arana, vioamouier
and aunt of the bride, and
Daryl Banazwski, brother-inlaw
of the bride.
Given in marriage by her
mother and father who were
celebrating their 28th wedding
anniversary, the bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Joseph Szczechowiak, 120
Roselsnd Ave. Parents of the
groom are Mr. and Mrs.
Angelo C. Restivo, 1997 Main
St., Waterport.
For her wedding the bride
wore a poly organza gown with
chantilly lace, a Queen Anne
neckline, long straight sleeves,
a lace center panel on the front
tier, and a six tiered bouffant
chapel train. A matching lace
mantilla completed her attire.
She carried an elegant
cascade of Joffet orchids,
yellow sweetheart roses and
stephanotis accented by ivy
arranged on a prayer book that
was carried by her mother on
her wedding day.
Miss Sandra Szczechowiak,
sister of the bride, was the
maid of honor with Paula
Banazwski, sister of the bride;
Jo Ann Lewandowski, cousin of
the bride; Ann Restivo, sister
of the groom, and Sylvia
Lamieux, a friend, serving as
bridesmaids.
The maid of honor wore a
yellow gown with a poly criss
cross bodice, a pleated skirt
and a detachable chiffon
capelet. The bridesmaids wore
identical gowns but in apricot
color.
The honor attendant carried
a bouquet of ivy and softly
arranged apricot miniature
carnations accented by yellow
silk gypsophilia. She wore a
crescent shaped carnation
headpiece to complement her
bouquet
The bridesmaids carried
identical bouquets of yellow
miniature carnations and
apricot gypsophilia and wore
headpieces to match.
Greg Coccitti served as best
man. Ushering duties were
performed by Charles Restivo,
brother of the groom; James
Hollinger, counsin of the
groom; Norbert Morton and
Edward Salvatore.
A reception followed the
ceremony and was held at the
Sacred Heart Club on North
Gravel Road. Out of town
guests were from Albion,
Batavia, Buffalo, Lockport,
Middleport, Rochester,
Waterport, Florida and New
Jersey.
The couple is motoring
through the New England
States on their honeymoon and
will be residing in Brockport
upon their return.
Both are employed by
Eastman Kodak of Rochester.
The bride works as a department
secretary and the groom
in shipping and receiving.
