The Prince of Peace Church choir sang.the
Nuptial High Mass at 9 o'clock this morning (Feb.
9,.1957) during which Miss Geraldine Sara Wen-
dell became the bride of John Joseph, Amendola.
The Rev. Paul R.- Letourneau performed the
double-ring ceremony, before an altar adorned with .
chrysanthemums, snapdragons and pompons.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Floyd Wendell, 82nd St. The bridegroom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Angelo Amendola, Pine
Ave.
A bridal gown of pure silk and roscpoint lace
was worn by the former Miss Wendell. The fitted
bodice featured an appliqued, lace neckline
trimmed with beading and the full skirt was fashioned
.with inserts of lace and cathcd/al-length
train.
Pearls and rhincstones accented the bride's
headpiece, a queen's crown, that held a double
illusion veil. She carried a colonial bouquet ceritcrcd
with white orchids and roses. A gold necklace,
an heirloom worn by the bride's mother and
grandmother, completed the bridal costume.
Miss Carol Musso, Lockport, was maid of
honor and bridesmaids were Miss Carol Martin,
Youngstown. and Miss Lynn Bair, this city. The
three attendants wore white chiffon gowns with
pleated V-necklines and full, ballerina-length skirts.
They carried colonial bouquets of red roses.
Best man was Donald Duffy and ushers were
Richard Massaro and Raymond Granara.
Greeting breakfast and dinner guests at the
Como Restaurant, the- bride's, mother wore a
while chiffon, ballerina-length dress with white
accessories and an orchid corsage. A champagne
satin dress with matching accessories and white
orchid corsage was the choice of the bridegroom's
mother.
Following a trip to New.. York City, Philadelphia
and Washington. D. C, the couple will
at home at 1415 Pine Ave.
