Miss Geraldine Barclay, daughter of Mrs. John Barclay
of Munson Ave., will marry Russell McFarland, son of Mr.
and Mrs. William McFarland of Rivershore Dr., this evening
(July 9, 1957) at 7:30 o'clock at the First Methodist
Church in Buffalo Ave. The Rev. Shirley Travis will perform
the single-ring ceremony, while Mrs. Earl McCormick
plays the wedding music.
Given in marriage by her brother, John D. Barclay,
Miss Barclay will wear for her wedding a powder blue chiffon
gown, with deeper tones of blue as accents. The ballerina-
length dress with oval neckline and short sleeves, will
be worn with a circular face veil
falling from a crown of seed
pearls. Miss Barclay will carry
a cascade bouquet of white
orchids.
Mrs. Alton Thorpe, as Matron
of honor, will be Miss Barclay's
only attendant. She wilj wear
pale pink voile with accents of
matching pink lace and a circlet
of pink and white flowers, while
she carries a colonial bouquet.
Ernest McFarland will be best
man for his brother, and Alton
Thorpe and James Morrison will
be ushers.
. Mrs. John Barclay, mother of
the bride, will wear a pale pink
sheer dress with white accessories
at the wedding reception
for the immediate families at
her home. The mother of the
bridegroom plans on wearing
soft blue lace with white accessories.
After a wedding trip to Lake
St. Clair, Mich., the newlywcds
will make their home at 9129
Rivershore Dr.
