MISS KAREN L. Barnaby ,and Paul G.
Burroughs exchanged marriage vows Saturday
(May 24, 1969) in a 5:30 p.m. double ring'
ceremony at First Baptist, Church. The Rev.
Edward Gunther and the Rev. Pierre Tangent
officiated at the candlelight ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Ellery E.
Barnaby, 1128 Niagara Ave. Mr. Burroughs
is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon -A.
Burroughs, 15 Mountbatten Drive, Hamilton,
Ont. .
Given in marriage by her father, the bride
was attired in ja gown of Irish linen trimmed
with a baroque pattern of guipure lace. The
gown was styled with scoopl neckline, short '
sleeves and accented with split panel train.
She wore a matching cathedral length mantilla
appliqued with matching lace and carried
a" colonial bouquet of lily of the valley,
stephanotis and yellow pompons.

MISS DIANE L. Gill was maid of honor
and Miss Beverly Touchton, Hudson, Ohio;
Miss Christine Wilk; and Miss Carole Burroughs,
Hamilton, sister of the bridegroom,
were bridesmaids. They wore similarly styled
gowns of casino green linen with chiffon
bodices, long sleeves and rolled linen collars.
Matching hairbraid picture hats were trimmed
with tulle twists and streamers.
Carol Barnaby, Tonawanda, junior bridesmaid,
and Victoria Davidson, Hamilton, flower
girl, wore similarly styled gowns of maize
. with matching hair bows.
David Burroughs, Hamilton, was best man
for his brother. Ushers were Patrick Davidson,
Joseph Cousins, Peter Burroughs, all of
Hamilton, and Donald Barnaby, brother of
the bride.
An evening reception was held at the John
J. Welch Post, American Legion Hall. On
their return from a wedding trip to Montreal,
Mr. and Mrs. Burroughs will make their home
in Port Credit, Ont.
