An attractive wedding in St.
John's church united Miss Mildred
A. Bartenstein, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Charles Bartenstein of 343
South street, and Joseph Putnam,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Putnam
of Ridge road. The Rev. Francis A.
Clancy, pastor, performed the ceremony
at 9 o'clock.
The bride, who was given in marriage
by her father, wore a dress of
ivory slipper satin fashioned with a
train, satin-covered buttons and
touches of lace. Her full-length tulle
veil was caught with orange blossoms
to a tiara of seed pearls. She
carried ah ivory prayer book with
an orchid.
Miss Virginia Garlock, maid of
honor, wore blue taffeta with a full
skirt and a Mary Queen of Scots
headdress of pink. The bridesmaids.
Miss Ellen Eddy and Miss Betty
Anson, wore pink taffeta with headdress
of blue. They carried semi-
Colonial bouquets of mixed flowers.
Marcia Ann Waldman was flower
girl.
Herbert Putnam was best man
and ushers were Raymond Bartenstein
and Louis Hemmer. Mrs. John
M. Schaffert was organist and Miss
Ruth Hayes sang Ave Maria.
The bride's mother wore a navy
blue lace dress with blue accessories
and the groom's mother wore
navy blue silk, also with matching
accessories.
Church decorations were of
gladioli attractively arranged and
garden flowers decorated the rooms
iome of the bride's parents,
where Ja reception was held to
about 60 guests. Twenty-one were
seated at the bridal table which was
centenfed with the bride's cake.
Mr and Mrs. Putnam left for an
eastern trip, the bride wearing a
green suit with Dubonnet accessories.
They will make their home
at 84 Walnut street.
Out-of-towji guests included a
number from Buffalo, Rochester and
Holley.
