e n g a g e m e n t of their
daughter, Ann Ruth, to
Gary Wayne Bass. He is die
son of Mr. and Mrs. Grover
A. Bass of 4456 Main St.,
Gasport.
A 1967 graduate of
Royalton - Hartland Central
School, Miss Allport was
graduated from Wittenberg
University, Springfield, Ohio
in 1970 with a bachelor of
arts degree in elementary
education. This month she
was awarded a master's
degree in library science
from die State University
College at Geneseo. ,
Mr. Bass, also a 1967
graduate of Royalton -
Hartland Central School,
will be completing his
studies next year at North
C e n t r a l College in
Napierville, Ill.
A July 2, wedding is
planned

Weddding vows were
exchanged by Miss Ann
Ruth Allport and Gary
Wayne Bass in a candlelight
ceremony at 7 p.m. Friday
evening at First Baptist
Church, Lockport
The Rev. Don C Medoff
officiated at the double -
ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs Clyde W
Allport, 8135 West Ave,
Gasport. Mr. and Mrs.
Grover A. Bass, 4456 Main
St., Gasport, are the parents
of the bridegroom.
The bride was given in
marriage by h e r father
before an altar decorated
with white carnations, white
chrysanthemums and candelabra
The bride's gown of dotted
Swiss and venise lace was
fashioned with a high
neckline, empire waist line,
appliqued with venise lace
daisies and featured bishop
sleeves. The A - line skirt
and hemline were also
appliqued with matching
lace. Her chapel length
mantilla veil of illusion was
caught to a headpiece edged
in venise lace daisies.
She carried a colonial
bouquet of daisies, white
carnations, baby's breath
and stephanotis.
Honor attendant for her
sister was Mrs. Gary
Larnont of Columbus, Ohio.
Her gown of midnight pink
chiffon over taffeta featured
an empire waist with ruffles
at the neckline and at the
end of the bracelet length
sleeves.
Identically attired were
the other attendants, Miss
Winifred Schue, of Collins,
and Miss Karen Bass,
Gasport, sister of the
groom. Each carried a
bouquet of pink roses.
The flower girl was
Carolyn Allport, of Fairborn,
Ohio, niece of the
bride. She wore a floral
print chiffon over taffeta, in
coordinated shades of pink.
Gregory Bass, of Gasport,
was best man for his
b r o t h e r . Ushers were
T h o m a s Bramscher, o f
Napierville, Ill. and Thomas
LaDelfa, Rochester.
F r e d e r i c k J. Gibbs,
organist, accompanied the
soloist, Mrs. Paul Grout.
A reception was given in
the church parlors, immediately
following the
ceremony.
The couple will make
their future home in
Napierville, Ill., where Mr.
Bass will be completing his
senior year at North Central
College, and the bride will
be employed as elementary
school librarian. Both are
graduates of Royalton -
Hartland Central School.
The bride is a 1970 gradute
of Wittenberg University,
S p r i n g f i e l d , Ohio and
r e c e i v e d her master's
degree in library science
from the State University
College at Geneseo in May.
